Francis de Zulueta FCISI
Has worked with Nelson Hurst and Marsh, Willis, Minet, Aon and Marsh McLennan and was a founding partner of international niche Lloyd's broker, Special Risk Services from start-up to to its successful trade sale to Minet.

He then moved to insurance related private equity and was the business development Director for an AIM-listed venture capital company until 2008 before founding the Alpine Group of companies in 2009.

The Alpine team has extensive global contacts and experience in the Managing Agent, broker, insurance services and insurance people arena’s.

The team has advised on raising finance for many millions on deals, for many insurance ventures, since 2009 and has a unique relationship with a number of funding sources, in addition to its own resources, giving us great flexibility to engage in most deal sizes.

He co founded the UK Managing General Agents Association and is the founder of the Commonwealth Insurance Forum.

David Coupe
David is a leading corporate/commercial lawyer who has worked solely in and around the insurance markets in the UK and abroad for the past 30 years. Formerly a partner at Clyde & Co, he has formed his own law firm solely focussed on acting for Lloyd's agents, insurers, brokers and managing general agents. He is legal adviser to the UK Managing General Agents Association.

He has acted on many high profile M&A transactions and matters. He is well known in the market, and a frequent presenter at market events discussing leading edge insurance issues. He has been prominent in promoting the firm's Global Insurance presence including the developing Far East markets.

Nick Denniston
Nick Denniston is an independent consultant assisting companies on Strategy, M&A, Capital Raising and Investments and financial strategy. From 2005 to end 2009 he was CFO and Interim CEO for Argo International (formerly Heritage Underwriting Agency plc-Lloyd’s Underwriting Business; annual premium income £500m - AIM listed with 1400 shareholders; May 2008 sold to Argo, Bermuda based insurer).

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young in 1981. Between 1982 and 1995 he worked at SG Warburg, latterly as an Executive Director, working on mergers and acquisitions and equity issues. In 1995 he was appointed Finance Director of the CDC Capital Partners, a UK Government owned US$2 billion emerging markets investment business. In 2000 he was appointed as a Managing Director of Securitas Capital, Swiss Re’s private equity investment firm.

Mark Storey
Mark has over twenty-five years of private equity experience investing in smaller-middle market companies in the UK having worked for Banc Boston Capital since 1986 prior to co-founding Alcuin in 2004. Mark has been involved in many successful investments including Games Workshop, Eveden, Menzies Hotels and Adapt. Mark presently sits on the boards of TTA and Augentius FA and is the treasurer and Trustee of the London Library.

Mark has a BA Hons in History from Balliol College, Oxford and an MA from Birbeck, London.
